Coming this March, our next release will be Lavender Blue's The In Between.
The music of Asheville NC based artist Lavender Blue, the moniker for Kayla Zuskin, is as soft as it is spiky. The Moniker stemmed from her own partial color blindness. Performing since 2017, her forthcoming LP, The In Between, floats somewhere between the nostalgia of 90's grunge, lilting folk, and imaginary sonic worlds, inspired by the concept of liminal space both physically and psychically.
We will be doing a limited run of normal-bias electric blue cassettes (/100), professionally duplicated at Duplication CA. Each tape comes with a digital download code, which for US and Canada based shipments, is printed on wildflower seed paper by Botanical Paperworks.

Today she releases the latest single from the album "Scarlet Blood", you can listen below.
"Scarlet Blood is inspired by a poem that I wrote after a nasty fall on my roller-skates. I came across the poem a month or so later and was thinking about the circular track I had initially wiped out on and how it mirrors the idea that people and their actions tend to be cyclical and patterned. This song was produced by Landon George, and we spent a lot of time together getting this to where you now hear it. The production was heavily inspired by Alex G and lo-fi recording styles. In addition to playing many of the instruments, Landon ran the whole piece through multiple cassette players at different rates and we pulled that in and out to give the piece its warbling effect." -Kayla
